Willis Pointer

Rev. Willis Pointer 87 (better known as Shane),departed his life peacefully and courageously on Monday December 24, 2018. Willis was the sixth child ,born to Earnest and Lulu Pointer on February 8, 1931. He proceededing deh by his wife, Eloise Pointer, daughter Gwen, Boston, adopted daughter Annette Boston, two brothers, Ernest Elmer and Leon Pointer; three sisters, Savanna Dorrough, Florida Green and Lula Mae Gordon.Willis tended Merrill High in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and ler moved to Kansas City, Mo. Willis was truly a born-again believer starting from an early age. He confessed his hope in Jesus Christ daily. He loved Christian Music deeply, he ler started a group The Son of harmony with his son Jerry and cousin James Young. He sang work, in the car or anytime he felt the need to give God praise.Willis worked various companies such as, Independence Stove, Clay and Bailey, and Saxton. He also ran his own business, Pointer N Sons Maintenance.Willis met and married the “the love of his life” Eloise Pointer with whom he remain faithful for 64 years.He leaves this earthly soil two children Jerry and Donald and two adopted daughters, Cherine Grant and Delia King. One sister, Mildred Kelly. Daughter-in-law lolly Pointer; Two-sister-in- laws Sybyl Pointer and Louise Young; Two grandsons DeAndre Pointer and Terrance Blake; Three granddaughters; Merideth Wson, Tysala Tyler and Quiana Pointer.He also leaves behind many family members th he helped raise; Robert Cullen and DeAndre Pointer. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
