William Stephen Wkins

William Stephen Wkins 68, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2015, was born October 28, 1947, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the union of Claude and Evelyn (Ellerby) Wkins. He was the third of four children. His parents preceded him in deh as well as his sister Claudia Foreman. William (Steve) accepted Christ an early age and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. After completing high school and a stint in the Armed Forces, Steve moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he united in holy mrimony with Pamala (Gibson) Wkins and to this union two sons were born William Wkins Jr. and Shaun Wkins. Steve was employed the Kansas City Honeywell Plant (Bendix, Allied Signal) as an Assembler Adjuster Special Precision (AASP) for 34 years, until he retired in 2002. One of Steve’s passions was coaching; he coached his sons in football, basketball and baseball. His love for coaching touched so many lives over the years. He leaves to witness his homegoing: his wife Pamala Wkins of Kansas City, MO; two sons William Wkins Jr. of Kansas City, MO; Shaun Wkins of Fort Gordon, Augusta, GA; two sisters, Carolyn (Ruben) Williams of Muskogee, OK; Nancy (Ed) Ousley of Muskogee, OK; four grandchildren, Tania, Taylor, Camyrn and Rio; mother and fher-in-law Clifford and Jean Gibson of  San Antonio,  TX ; one sister-in-law Millicent Gibson of San Antonio, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
