Obituary for William Clark

Mr. William Aubrey Clark Sr. departed this life on December 30, 2018 home with family. William Aubrey Clark Sr. was born on May 4, 1926 to the union of Leonard Guy Clark Sr. and Leola Jenkins Clark in Kansas City, MO. He was the third oldest of nine children. He was preceded in deh by his parents, sons William A. Clark Jr., Samuel G. Phillips, daughters Rae Lee Phillips, Aubrey A. Clark, Beverly A. Clark Bruce, brothers Leonard Guy Clark Jr., Melvin Clark, sisters Leola Waller and Sarah R. Newton. William tended R.T. Coles and Lincoln High School. He served in the United Stes Army during World War II and received an honorable discharge in 1948. William married Mtie Sanders Clark and to this union four children were born. The marriage was dissolved and William ler married Joan P. Phillips. He worked on numerous construction jobs under the local 555. Also, worked in the dietary department of the V.A. Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He retired from Trailmobile (formally known as Standard Steel) in North Kansas City, MO. William was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. He served on the Deacon Board for many of years under the leadership of Bishop Daniel Chavis Jr. Mr. Clark hobbies were sports, music, family gherings, talking on the CB radio where he was known as the Colonel, he had a passion for building things, designing his hs to mch his ties and he loved helping others. No one was a stranger to him. When William answered God*s call he left to cherish his memories; his wife Joan P. Clark, sons Milton Phillips, David Clark (Tracy), Albert Clark Sr. (Ima), Standford Phillips Sr., Anthony Clark (Shirley) daughters Angie Baker, Lyvette Clark McDonald (Juan), Rhonda Clark, special granddaughter Sharice Phillips/ caretaker, daughter in laws Janice M. Clark all of Kansas City, MO, Janice Clark of Grandview, MO, sister Emogene L. Scott, brothers Alvin A. Clark Sr. (Evonia), Calvin C. Clark Sr. (Shirley) of Kansas City, MO, Theodore Clark (Ida) of Gary, IN, 20 grandchildren, 19 gre grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, other relives and friends
