Thomas McClain Sr.

Thomas McClain Sr. was born in Brownsville, TN on May 19, 1953 to Clay Thomas and Gloria McClain who preceded him in deh. He is also preceded in deh by his sister Scarlet Bchelor. Thomas gradued from Southeast High School C/O 1971. He tended Morehouse College. Before retirement in 2018 he was employed Honeywell . Thomas was a member of Swope Parkway Church of Christ working in the audio visual ministry and worship service. He loved to play chess, complete crossword puzzles, play dominoes and was a huge history buff. Thomas was always the life of the party. He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife of 42 years Chequita McClain, son Thomas McClain Jr (Kansas City, MO), daughters Telisha Swopes and Tyra (Rian) Stevenson both of Kansas City, MO; sister Lisa McClain; brothers Clay (Gladys) McClain and Foster (Marie) McClain; five grandchildren Tavon McClain, Thomas McClain III, Tory McClain, Riann Stevenson and Roi Stevenson. Thomas also leaves a host of aunt, uncles and other family th loved him deeply. He will also be sorely missed by an array of friends.
