Obituary for Theophilus Levi Monroe
Theophilus Levi Monroe, 52, departed this life on June 10th St. Joseph Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in deh by his fher Rev. Allen Monroe, 2 sisters Loretta Monroe and Cynthia Luckett, and one brother, Alfredo Monroe. Theo was born October 5, 1963 to Rev. Allen and Cornelia Monroe. He was the youngest of 10 children. Theo tended various schools within the Kansas City Missouri district and gradued from Van Horn High School in 1981. Shortly after graduion he began a career the Juvenile Detention Youth Center. From there, Theo spent several years in both the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army. Following his military career Theo returned to Kansas City and married Aleda Carroll whom he affectionely referred to as “The General”. They shared 35 years together as husband and wife. The Lord blessed them with 2 beautiful children, Evelyn and Jean Luc-Pierre. Theo leaves to cherish his memory his wife Aleda, his daughter Evelyn (Jason), his son Jean Luc-Pierre and six grandchildren. Also to cherish his memory is his mother Cornelia Jackson, 3 brothers Rev. Kenneth Price (Trudy), Allen Monroe Jr. , Andre Monroe; 3 sisters Pricia Lindley-Dominquez (Oscar), Sandra Ihekona, Marchita Griffin, two nieces with whom he shared a special bond, Traci Mooney and Toni Murry (Frederick) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
