Sheila Y. Myers

Dr. Sheila Yvonne Myers 73, passed March 4, 2019 was born on August 26th, 1945 in Kansas City, KS. She was the middle child of three, born to the proud union of Alma Gray and James Nance. Sheila was preceded in deh by both her pernal and mernal grandparents, both parents, Aldon Myers (husband), Orville Nance (brother), Lynda Nance (sister in-law), and Shelley Robinson (daughter). an early age, Sheila professed her faith in Jesus Christ. She received her educion from the Kansas City Public School District. Sheila gradued from Central High School and went on to work as a phlebotomist for many years before becoming certified in 1981 St. Lukes Hospital of Kansas City. She continued in the medical field until retirement. Sheila met and married Aldon Myers (Al). They were joined in holy mrimony on January 10, 1979. From this union, they loved and cared for 5 children. She was a spirited and graceful woman who lived for her family. Sheila and Al joined Sunlight Missionary Baptist church on October 2nd, 1983. She served as a spiritual guidance counselor and went on to obtain her Associes, Bachelors, Masters and Doctore degrees in Christian Counseling from Faith Bible Christian College. She was an avid prayer warrior who loved to spread the gospel to whomever she touched. She leaves to cherish her memories; her three children, Kelley D. Rucker, James A. Rucker, LaRoy D. Bryant; her brother Anthony Keith Nance; eight grandchildren, Ashley Robinson, Jalisa Robinson, Earnest Robinson, James Rucker II, Breiona Byers, Alexis Rucker, Autumn Bryant, and Alexis Gonzales; five gre-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Sheila Yvonne Myers will be forever loved and celebred.
