Samuel “Sam” Kimbrel, 93

Samuel “Sam” Kimbrel, 93 departed this earth on August 4, 2016. Sam was born February 23, 1923 in Pope, Mississippi to Lela Mae Kimbrel. As a young child, he reloced to Memphis, Tennessee. He worked for many years and retired as a Security Guard. After retirement, he spent his remaining years enjoying time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He spent most of his free time fishing and hunting in his earlier years. Samuel was preceded in deh by his wife, Mary Jane Kimbrel, son, Samuel Kimbrel Jr., and two daughters, Diane Kimbrel and Darlene Ray. Samuel is survived by 5 sons, Nhaniel Kimbrel, Larry Kimbrel, Rufus Kimbrel, Oliver Kimbrel, Carl (Caprice) Kimbrel, all of Kansas City, KS, 4 daughters; Leher (Otis) Heard and Diana (Kevin) Carvin of Kansas City, KS, Mary Elizabeth of Chicago, IL, and Serita (Terrence) Fitch of Kansas City, MO, a very special cousin Thomas Hendrix, 27 grandchildren, 40 gre grandchildren, and a host of other family members.
