Obituary for Rose Marie Martin-Williams

Rose Marie Martin-Williams, 55, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Rose was born on December 15, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of George Martin and Dorothy Jean Martin, both who preceded her in deh. Rose was one of six siblings, three of which proceeded her in deh; one brother, William Sykes and two sisters Joyce Hampton and Lonya Lee. Her mother was a devout Christian woman, and due to her teachings in the home, Rose accepted Christ an early age. She tended church on a regular basis as a child and young adult and ler as her health would allow. As a teenager, Rose reloced to Northern California with her mother and siblings. Rose was educed in the Silicon Valley Public School System, where she gradued from Seaside High School, in Seaside, California in 1981. Shortly after graduing from high school, Rose tended Monterey Peninsula Junior College. It was also in California, th she gave birth to her five beautiful children, Tanya Williams-Booth, Tanisha Williams, twins; Maurice Smith & Price Smith, and Nasha Maxwell. Rose had a love for people and several of her jobs were directly reled to helping others. Throughout her working career she worked in various industries and in multiple capacities such as a Military Cook, a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Computer Chip Tester. Those who crossed Rose’s ph were directly affected by her loving spirit, her motherly instincts, giving titude, her love for cooking, her green thumb, her laughter and her beautiful smile. Her closest family members will remember her as someone who always put family first and th she was loyal to her family and friends. To the end, she held a smile! Rose was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, four daughters Tonya Williams-Booth (Heher) of Kansas City, MO, Tanisha Williams, of Raytown, MO, Price Smith, and Nasha Maxwell both of Kansas City, MO; one son Maurice Smith of Henderson, Kentucky; one sister Rachel Tigue of Durham, North Carolina; and one brother Phillip Martin (Monica) of Raytown, MO, several grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, step-children, family and friends.
