Obituary for Robert Colley Logan
Robert Colley Logan 69 passed away peacefully April 12, 2016, was born on November 23, 1946, in Rutherfordton, North Carolina to Joseph Robert and Gwendolyn Rebecca Logan. His sister and grandparents preceded him in deh. Robert Logan was educed the Burke Elementary and Hyde Park High School in Chicago, Illinois. Shortly after High School, he married Lena Johnson Logan, and to his union was born Robert Angelo Logan. Robert Logan was drafted in the United Stes Army. He became a Vietnam veteran with an honorable discharge. There were many unfavorable stories he shared or the laughter of broom dancing to doo wop tunes. Upon his return from duty he began his studies in Early Childhood Educion and Physical Educion Kennedy-King College and Chicago Ste. Robert Logan was an owner-operor of a daycare nearly ten years. He studied Mortuary Science but changed his mind, when it came to “slip skin.” He was a community activist with Alderman Beaver in Chicago, Illinois. Years passed, he married Linda Price Logan, to this union Rebecca, Robert, Randel, and Ryan was born. He was compassione about animals. It was nothing for him to wrap a puppy in a blanket to carry. When his big dog Queenie got hit by two cars, he took off his shirt and stuffed it in the dog’s chest. Robert Logan was highly sensitive and protective of his family. His shoulders and lap was the cradle. He also was very meticulous about his dress tire, from creases to loose lint. He spent time in a gym or playing some sort of ball sport. His past time was coaching summer little league or looking many television sports or cowboy programs. Robert Logan was baptized in Jesus’ Name and received the Holy Ghost, the Victory Apostolic Faith Church under the le Bishop Price. Even with life’s challenges and choices made Robert Logan still gleamed the thought of more grandchildren. He often said how proud he was of his children for going far beyond his dreams appreciing their choices and their mother’s wisdom. Robert Logan came to Kansas to stay with his only daughter in September, 2015 to see if he wanted to stay. In such a short time his life unexpectedly expired Tuesday, April 12. Remembering fond memories: his children, Robert Angelo Logan (Lisa), Rebecca Collecia Jwendolyn Logan, Terrance P. Robinson (Loya), Robert Colley Joseph Logan, Randel Carlisle Jaret Logan, Ryan Carlton Jeremiah Reese Logan. Grandchildren are Rhys, Gabriel, Terrance, Jr., and Kaytriaum and Me’Nasha Robinson. Cousin Sally and James Field including caregiver (nephew) Marcus Henry, neighbors and associes.
