Obituary for Richard M. Herron Sr.

Richard Michael Herron, Sr. 61, was born May 8, 1957 to the le Richard Herron and Onie Gilyard (Eddie) in Kansas City, MO. Richard got his early educion with Kansas City public schools, graduing from Central High School in 1975. After high school he joined the US Army where he served time in Germany. When returning home, he moved to Fort Smith, AR to join his family. There he started a new life tending college and ler earning a degree in welding; graduing ler from Westark Community College. While in college he endured a career as a Disc Jockey known as “KC Wonder Mike”. During this time, he met and married the love of his life Carla M. (Archie) Herron. To this union came two daughters Caniece and Shelley. His family ler reloced to Kansas City, MO where his son Richard M.Herron Jr was then born to complete his family. He worked as a welder for many years providing for his family until he was able to retire. Even in his retirement he started his own business doing odd end welding jobs as well as making barrell barbeque grills. He was always an active hard working man up until the day he left this earth. He loved his family especially his grandchildren. Also, he was a giving soul who loved sports and was one of the biggest Chief’s fans ever. Proceeding him in deh was his daughter, Shelley Herron of Kansas City, MO, his wife Carla M. Herron of Kansas City, MO, his fher Richard Herron of Kansas City, MO, his stepfher Edwin Gilyard Jr; Fort Smith, AR, his sister Bonny D. Herron; Kansas City, MO, his sister Carol J. Herron; Kansas City, MO, his brother Donald Herron; Kansas City, MO, also a close cousin Lawrence Hudson; Kansas City, MO. He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter Caniece Dameron (Paul) of Kansas City, MO; his grand-daughter Mariyah Sanders; his grandson Payton Dameron; his son Richard M. Herron, Jr. of Kansas City, MO; his granddaughter Journee Herron; his mother Onie Gilyard of Kansas City, MO; his sister Sheila Walker (Luther) of Kansas City, MO; his brothers Larry Herron of Kansas City, Mo, Tony Spencer (Dee), Allen Spencer and Craig Spencer all of Kansas City, KS and a host of other relives and friends.
