Rebecca L. McConnell

Rebecca L. McConnell 55 passed away on October 28, 2017 was born June 30, 1962 to Georgia L. And Carlee Burns in Kansas City, KS. She was preceded in deh by her parents and brother Steve Burns. Becky was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, KS. Becky accepted Christ as a very early age and a lifelong servant of the Lord. She tended Turner High School and also received and Associe Degree form Kansas City Kansas Community College. Rebecca was a child care provider for most of her adult career in the early years. “NaNa Becky” had her own business of if In-home Daycare. One day Nana Becky decided to go to work in a Daycare center where she became part of a lovely family the Salvion Army Daycare in Kansas City, Kansas. Then Nana Becky joined Uncle Sam’s Daycare in the Kansas Federal Building in 2002. Nana would spend a lot of her years Uncle Sam’s Daycare where she loved, nurtured, and taught hundreds of kids. Nana Becky retired from Uncle Sam’s Daycare in 2014 due to deterioring health. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, granddaughter, grandmother and gre grandmother. She was kind and loving. She was fun loving and outgoing, always ready to go out to the stores or shopping. Nana Beck loved all her grandchildren and gre grandchildren. She had 13 wild, crazy, happy, healthy, beautiful grandchildren and two of the funniest gre grand children. As many and as wild as it always was, she always was there making beautiful and fun memories with us all! Nana Becky will be forever missed by her two daughters Dana(Lamar) and Carrie. She also leaves her love to Papa Larry, who have shared their love and happiness or decades. Nana Becky’s grandchildren; Megan, Kendra, Mariah Terrylshae, Deleshaun Doss Terryishell, Terryl. Jr. Erran, Xzavier, Lamar, Christian, LaMya, A’Niyah, Vincent III, Vincent, Jr.; gre grandchildren Man-Man and Faith; a very special like son, Vincent Newton, Sr.; a host of loving family and special friends who thought the world of her. We love you NaNa Becky – You’re so loved and missed.
