Obituary for Rachel Lee Dawn-Eman

Rachel Lee Dawn-Eman 67 passed away on January 24, 2018 was born June 11, 1950 in Bearden Arkansas. She was the third child of R.H. Dawn and Geneva Thrower-Dawn. She was preceded in deh by both her parents, her sister Mavene Brittine, her brother Donald Ray Dawn, and her grandson Gerion Hall. Rachel was raised in Kansas City, KS where her family reloced when she was young. She accepted Christ into her life a young age and was baptized Antioch Baptist Church. When Rachel was in her teens, her family reloced to St. Joseph, MO and in 1968 she gradued for Lafayette High School. Rachel started her own family in 1970. She moved back to Kansas City, KS and found a church home Bethesda Baptist Church. She was a member of the Choir and she made sure her children ended church every Sunday. She was very active in her kids’ life. She was president of the P.T.A. Fairfax Elementary. She was also a Bluebirds instructor, and she mentored many young girls th came through the program. Rachel was employed with the ste of Kansas for over 12 years. Once she ended her employment with the ste, she began working for the Kansas City, KS Public School District. She retired when her health began to fail her. She filled her free time enjoying the company of her children and her grandchildren. She always let them know she was tickled when they came and she was tickled when they left. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to all. She will truly be missed. Rachel leaves to celebre her precious memories: her husband Gerald Eman, Sr. of KCKS; four daughters Cheryl White, Juanetta White, Alisha Dawn-Johnson (Tyrone), and Gerri Eman (Markel) all of KCKS; two brothers James Lambert (Ira) of KCMO and L.H. Dawn (June) of KCKS; one sister Mary Dawn-Martin of KCMO; her Daughter-in-love Dawanda Dawn; her granddaughter and caregiver Tamia White; as well as 27 grandchildren; 14 gre-grandchildren; and a host of in-laws, cousins, friends, and other relives all of whom she loved very much.
