Obituary for Pomroy Trent Morrow
Pomroy Trent Morrow was born March 29, 1953, to John D. Morrow and Annabelle Maude (Shelton) of Kansas City, Kansas and passed away January 6, 2023, at KU Medical Center. He was the 4th child to the couple. Those that knew him referred to him as “Roy”. Roy attended Douglass Elementary, Northeast Jr. and Sumner High Schools. He graduated with the Class of 1971. Roy went on to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, as a lineman/installer. Roy worked there for 32 years until he retired. Roy was an avid sports fan and recreational played tennis and basketball. He was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. He also LOVED working on and fixing up hot rods and even drag raced in his younger days. His dream car was the highly sought after 1956 Chevrolet Bel-Air. Roy had a passion for cars and participated in various car shows and received many trophies and accolades for his creativity. Roy is preceded in death by his parents and Brother Gregory K. Morrow Sr. To mourn his passing Roy leaves his wife Carla Morrow, brothers Larry Lee and John D Sr., sister Sherri Antoinette, son Ja’Male K. Morrow Sr. (Teneka), daughter Shanell N. Walton (Leonard), son Michael Garrett, daughter Kichelle Fulton, son Thomas Westmoreland, 20 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
