Ms. Shirley Ransom~Muhammad

Shirley Ransom-Muhammad was born in Marianna, Arkansas on February 7, 1958, to Rachael Johnson and David Ransom. Her mother passed when she was five years old. Her fher raised her in West Helena, Arkansas. When she was eighteen, she enrolled and tended college until she became pregnant with her oldest daughter. In 1979, she reloced to Kansas City, Missouri with her aunt and other family members. She continued to raise her children until she began her career in the transportion industry, in 1992. She held her first position with the Jackson County School District as a school bus operor with Vanguard transportion company. Nearly five years ler, she acquired a position with the Kansas City Area Transportion Authority (KCA). She remained with the company for twenty-four years. Shirley was preceded in deh by her daughters, Tasheika Baker and Azalea Gordan, her mother, Rachael Johnson, fher, David Ransom, and sister, Fannie Mae Ransom. She leaves to cherish with everloving memories her seven children Monique S. Ransom, Quiana R. Martin (Manning), Rahman M. Muhammad, Theotis A. Muhammad, Kevin J. Muhammad, Omar T. Muhammad, and Tyler J. Ransom. Seven grandchildren Hartasia T. Baker, Dominique T. Baker, Leonta J. Baker, Octavia I. Douglas, Alea S. Douglas, Michael J. Martin Jr., and Quion R. Martin. Four sisters Erma L. Hill, Larcenia Craig, Bernice Green, and Debra Davenport. Six brothers Eddie Ransom, David Ransom Jr., Theotis Ransom, Augusto Davenport, John Eon, and Herman Eon.
