
Obituary for Ms. Mozelle Gilyard-Bearden
Mozelle Gilyard-Bearden 94 passed away peacefully home surrounded by love on February 6, 2021. She was born October 13, 1926, to the blessed union of Fred Thomas and Stella Love-Thomas in Rentiesville, Oklahoma. Mozelle was the baby girl and eleventh of twelve siblings. The family reloced to Muskogee Oklahoma where she received her educion in the Muskogee Public School System. In January 1946 Mozelle met her beloved Julius I. Gilyard and after falling deeply in love they were married just three months ler in March of 1946. To this union, they were blessed with three children Frankie Marie, Stephen Mark, and Vicky Lynne. This union lasted 28 wonderful years. Julius passed away on October 14, 1974. After a lengthy courtship, Mozelle married French Ellis Bearden in June 2001. * Mozelle was baptized into the body of Christ and remained a dediced faithful member for over 60 years. She impacted many lives with her superior domestic talents and cooking abilities. Mozelle gave her full self to each of the many roles she served in the many lives she touched. From providing an exquisite meal to anyone who was hungry to providing shelter to those who were in need. Mozelle owned and opered Mozella*s Chili Parlor and Delicessen on 22nd and Tracy. She then went on to be employed Saint Luke*s Hospital as a Nursing Assistant, Freedom Incorpored*s Operion Upgrade reading program Kherine B. Richardson Elementary School. Mozelle ended her work life as a domestic caregiver. She was proceeded in deh by her parents and her first husband Julius, second husband French, eleven brothers and sisters, daughter Frankie and son Stephen. Mozelle leaves to cherish her legacy of love, her loving dediced daughter Vicky and son in law Leonard Reed Sr, 6 grandchildren: Jason Branch, Jerome Branch, Joanne Branch of Houston, Texas, Bridgette Gibson of lanta, Georgia, Leonard Reed Jr, Grandma*s devoted Granddaughter, and Gre-Granddaughter Nikia Reed and Milani Diaz of Kansas City, Missouri, 23 Gre-Grandkids, Special Nieces Valarie and Lolitta Tucker, Goddaughter Jane Fowler and a host of other Nieces, Nephews, Family, Friends and her ever protective beloved Grand-Puppy Hershey.
