Obituary for Ms. Kelli Yvonne Millentree Franklin
Kelli Yvonne Millentree Franklin, 37 passed away on September 10, 2020. She was born on June 21, 1983 in Kansas City, Missouri. Kelli was a gradue of Ruskin High School, and while in high school she also tended Herndon Career Center. After graduing high school, she enrolled and gradued from Sanford Brown College as well as the Penn Valley Nursing program. It was Kelli’s gift of compassion th led her to a career in nursing. Kelli used her nursing skills in several capacities; Nursing Home, ER, Home Health, Hospice Care, Outreach Specialist as well as answering health questions from family and friends. Kelli accepted Christ an early age and was baptized Second Baptist Church. She used her love of dance to coordine the praise dance ministry SBC and youth group activities. As a cancer survivor, Kelli was the picture of resilience. For many years she made the Susan B. Koman Race for the Cure a family event. Kelli loved summer, traveling, eing her favorite restaurants, going to Friday Night Football games and she was a fan of the boys in blue, The Kansas City Royals. She described her favorite day of the week being Sunday because it was a day for her to enjoy her family. Kelli was definitely a movie buff, being sure to end her family movie trivia session with claps and laughs “.good movie, good movie!” She loved her role as “TT” and was sure to give each of her nephews and nieces an unforgettable nickname. Her quick wit and laugh th could fill any room was contagious. Kelli was known to be the bright light in the room and without a doubt lived her life “Like It Was Golden”. She was preceded in deh by her grandparents, sister Genna Millentree and infant daughter Larryn J. Clopton. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Sa’Raya Bland, her love, Larry Clopton Jr., parents Reggie and Jane Walker, Gene and Shawna Millentree, siblings Alana Reihs, Marcus Millentree (Maria), Jeremiah Walker, Madison Millentree, four nephews and nieces and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.
