Ms. Dora Alice “DOE” Hicks

Dora Alice “DOE” Hicks or simply Doe, as she was known by many departed this earthly realm on October 9, 2021. Doe was born June 6, 1957 to James and Fannie Mae Hicks who both preceded her in deh as well as 3 siblings Jimmy, Richard, Rosie Hicks and a bonus daughter Rae’Mikel Vaughn. Doe gradued from Paseo High School in 1975. She accepted Christ an early age and in her ler years she redediced her life and was baptized Spruce St. Mthew Baptist Church. Having worked several jobs throughout her life time she found her niche’ the Marriott Hotel where she worked some 15 years as a Managerial Steward from where she retired. Doe was a master chef in her own right th fed, housed and loaned to many. She was a light in the storm of life for many. Her presences will be most certainly missed. She was the true definition of perseverance th filled big shoes of the many she had. When ever and where ever you saw her, her hair was laid. She was Classy, Flashy and hood. A die hard Chiefs fan to the end. Th had unconditional love for her grandbabies. Doe leaves to cherish her memories: son(s) Anthony Hicks and Earnest Hicks both of Kansas City, MO., one sister Lanya Hicks of Kansas City, MO. Several bonus children Aaron Hicks, Roosevelt Franklin, Ernest Turner, Charlie Hinton, Angela Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews grandchildren, gre grandchildren, relives and several special friends. “Dora, Doe the Big D.O.E. you will be forever engraved within our hearts. YOU WILL BE MISSED.”
