Obituary for MS. Callie Willis

Ms. Callie B. Willis was born to the union of Mr. & Mrs. John Douglas and Eugenia McAfee December 19,1942 in Grenada Mississippi. She was educed in the Grenada public Schools system. She accepted Christ an early age and was baptized in 1951 the Bethel AME Church. She gradued with honors in the class of 1960 from Carrie Dotson High school. Soon after High School she furthered her educion Jackson Ste University where she gradued Solitarian with a BS in educion. She reloced to Kansas City Missouri with passion in pursuit of her career life in Educion. While teaching in the Kansas City Missouri school district she tended gradue school Central Missouri Ste and achieved her Master Degree in secondary educion and administrion. She met and married Mr. Edward Willis and to this union one child was born. After many years the marriage was dissolved but the remained lifelong friends. Ms. Willis spent over 40 faithful years in the Kansas City Missouri School District and as a proud member of the Kansas City Federion of Teachers. Her career included several years of teaching and as a vice principle Lincoln Jr, Lincoln High School, Martin Luther King Middle School and Westport Middle School where she worked until her retirement. No mter where Ms. Willis worked and no mter how busy she was she always made time for Christian and community service. For the last 17 years she has been a very active member of the Community Fellowship Church Of Jesus Christ. She has served proudly as a member of the Board of Directors, Church Secretary, President of the willing workers, Student Aid Mentoring Ministry and a member hospitality and compassion committee. She was preceded in deh by parents, one sister Gloria Williams and her former husband Edward. She leaves to cherish fond memories her loving daughter Pamela Redmond (Jan), Two grandsons Rinaldo (Calesha) and Avery *Cal*Redmond all of Richardson TX. One Brother John McAfee (Berice) of Saginaw MI, A host of nieces, nephews and her four legged furry children: Stewie, Buttons and Khaleesi and a host of other relives and friends not mentioned nor ever forgotten.
