Obituary for Ms. Betty Jean Thompson

Betty Jean Thompson was born on the 24th day of September 1942 and transitioned to her heavenly home on the 19th day of January 2022. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the eldest of four children of Mr. & Mrs. Lee Daniel Lemay. Her parents and sibling Kherine Rowden, all preceded her in deh. an early age, Betty Jean Thompson moved to Kansas City, Missouri. She went on to marry her le husband Joseph Wayne Thompson. In th union they had 5 children. Betty Jean Thompson loved helping people. She started as a nurse and in 1985 she received her certificion to provide a Home Daycare Service for her grandchildren and a host of other neighborhood children in need of care. Betty Jean Thompson was loved and adored by her children, family members and close friends. Betty was never one shy with speaking her mind and letting you know how she felt. Her love for fishing, music, especially Blues and baseball were just a few of her favorites. She also spent her days loving her dog, KarlyJo. The last chapter was completed peacefully, surrounded by family and comforted with the arms of the Lord in her own home. She will be grely missed by her siblings Florence Lemay and Jessie Lemay. Also, her children Lee D. Lemay, Vincent M. Thompson, Lynn D. Thompson (Deceased), Mauri (Jeanie) Thompson-Dixon (Charles), Marva (Jo) High (Lamont) and a host of grandchildren, gre-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
