Mrs. Wanda Faye Payne

Wanda Faye Price was born July 19, 1947 to parents Joseph Price and Rozina Green in Rentiesville, OK. The oldest daughter born of this union, she grew up in Muskogee, OK. After graduing Manuel Training high school in 1965 she started her college educion Langston University. Wanda met and married John F. Payne in December 1973 and moved with her husband John to Kansas City in June of 1974 so th he could tend the UMKC School of Law. While her husband went to school she worked Western Auto corpore and raised her children always regretting th she never finished college. When one of their children was enrolling UMKC her husband had them get her a packet and enrolled her in classes as a surprise. She continued to work and go to school part-time until she gradued obtaining her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1989. After retiring from Western Auto in 2002 she worked for the Ste of MO as an auditor from 2003 until 2009. She was baptized in the church St. Mark Baptist Church in Oklahoma. She joined Temple of Faith Missionary Baptist in 1983 where she served in finance room and as a Deaconess eventually serving as 1st lady when her husband was chosen to Pastor. Sis Wanda Payne completed her transition to eternal peace on December 3, 2021 after a short btle with pancreic cancer. She leaves to cherish her memory her one sister P Hill; six children Tanya, Christopher, Brian (Jess), Corey (Jennifer), Adrienne, and Joshua; fourteen grandchildren Ebonee, Shakira, Jordan (Stacey), Christina, Treyanna (Eric), Quasheena, William, Kennedye, Cydney, Gavin, Jacob, Jayce, Jaxson, Tyson; five gre-grandchildren Quentin, Emilian, Emory, Averie, and Leo; the Temple of Faith family, and a host of relives, friends and loved ones.
