Obituary for Mrs. M. Maxine “Millie/Mookee” Besch

M. Maxine “Millie/Mookee” Besch fell asleep in Jesus the young age of 52 on July 15th of 2021 with her loved ones by her side. She was born on October 5th of 1968 to Linville Sherman Wilkinson II and Vernal Josephine Wilkinson in Leavenworth, Kansas. As the 4th child of her parents, she took on a lot of responsibility as the youngest and as the big sister to those th would be adopted ler. After graduing from Central High School in St. Joseph, Missouri, Maxine decided th she would serve her country in the United Stes Army where she served for 15 years. Maxine had three children of her own, Makaila, Mya, and Maleeq, and would gain two more, Marcus and Lauren, after marrying her precious love, Michael Anthony Besch. On February 14th of 2006, Maxine married Michael Besch of Kansas City, Missouri. The love th these two had for each other is one of rare form! Maxine stayed true to her wedding vows by loving and caring for Michael until the very end. Anybody who knew her, knew love. She accepted any and everybody and would tre you like she*d known you her whole life. No mter where life, and the military, moved her, she found a way to minister to those th others felt they were too holy for. She knew wh it was like to feel alone and was persistent in making sure th no one felt th. Maxine was a testimony to so many people – on purpose! Nothing she did happened by accident. She was intentional about each job she took, moves she made, and words she spoke. She wanted for people to only see Jesus in her and th is wh we all saw.She was a true angel on this earth and did wh God assigned her to do. Although she will be deeply missed, we should also rejoice in knowing th she is free of pain and her soul is resting in Christ Jesus. Maxine is preceded in deh by: her pernal grandparents, Linville Sherman and M. Maxine Wilkinson; her mother, Vernal J. Bartley; and one of her favorite nephews, Linville Sherman Wilkinson IV.
