Mrs. Lonia Marietta Sutherlin

Lonia Marietta Sutherlin was born July 11, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to Louis and Genia Palmer. Lonia was raised on the south side of Kansas City where she tended the Kansas City Missouri School District and gradued from Southeast High School in 1980. After high school Lonia tended Penn Valley, Brown Mackie College, and Concord Institute in Kansas City, MO to obtain her nursing certificion. In Lonia teen years, and into her adult years she danced and taught Carruthers Dance Studio in Kansas City, MO. In recent years Lonia reignited her love of dance as a member of St. Monica praise dance team. The joy on her face while dancing was unexplainable. Many know Lonia as *Toni*. Toni was a very outgoing, loving individual, and the life of any party, although her favorite parties were *dance parties* with her grandchildren. To know her was to love her. After a long fight with cancer, Lonia lost her fight but gained her peace on the early morning hours of April 23. She is survived by her parents, her 3 brothers Gregory Murray (KCMO), Lafyette *PeeWee* Palmer and Marvin Palmer (Setle). Although she had no biological sisters Delshone McDonald (lanta) and Imelba Lee (KCMO) definitely held the title of gre aunt, cousin and sister. She is also survived by her children Tyran Sutherlin (Raytown) and Aaron Sutherlin Jr.,(KCMO) 4 grandchildren; Jaliyah, Johnnie III, Xavier, and Jaxson and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and several close friends.
