Obituary for Mrs. Freddie Mae “Peaches” Cheirs

Freddie Mae “Peaches” Cheirs, age 68, transitioned peacefully Sunday March 8, 2020. She was born August 26, 1951 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Mr. Earlean and Georgia Mae Nelson. She married her longtime friend and love, William Earl Cheirs of Hickman, Kentucky on August 25, 1977. Freddie was passione about her family and friends. She had a saying “Life is Good”. She admired the ability to be in the presence of her loved ones, preparing tasty meals, traveling to see different views and living her best life with tending every activity her children and grandchildren aspired to actively partake within. For many years Freddie worked various schools with the Kansas City Public School District through the LINC program as a Site Coordinor and Trainer. It suited her servant heart. She always sted she loved working with children and helping them explore new journeys through the educional system. Here, was where she retired from in 2017. Prior to her tenure with LINC, she managed various apartment complexes across the Missouri and Kansas Steline. She Gradued High School from Rayen High School in Youngstown, Ohio and received her Associes Degree in Business Administrion from Penn Valley in Kansas City, MO. Her life was a living testimony of one of her favorite bible verses, Ephesian 4:32- “And be kind and compassione to one another, forgive one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Freddie was a servant in the church. She was an impactful member of the usher board and worked closely with her sisters in the Mission Department Spruce St. Mthew Baptist Church. Freddie was preceded in deh by her Fher Earlean Nelson. Freddie is survived by her loving mother, Georgia M. Nelson of Youngstown, Ohio. Her faithful and supportive husband of 43 years, William Cheirs and their children, Monica Cheirs ( Kansas City, MO), Nyala and( Leonard Bulock Jr.) ( Kansas City, MO); ( Zoe and Ivy Bulock- grandchildren), Kenneth Cheirs (Youngstown, Ohio) ( Arlevia and Artevius Cheirs-grandchildren), Crystal & (Terrance Pankey Sr.) ( Youngstown, Ohio); (Alex Godoy and Terrance Pankey Jr.-grandchildren). Siblings, Earl and Paula Nelson (Colorado Springs, CO), Sandra & Anthony Stringer (Kansas, City, MO), Sylvester & Ladonna (Tubbs) Nelson, (Youngstown, Ohio). Nieces, Eunice Nelson (Colorado Springs, CO), Evonne &Darryl Smith (Jacksonville, Florida), Courtney Stringer (Kansas City, MO) and Lrice Stringer (Indianapolis, IN). Three Sister-n-Laws, Two Brother-n-laws (Hickman, Kentucky) and host of family and friends, Step-nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
