Mr. Shawn Pickens

Shawn Pickens, received his wings February 8, 2021 his home in San Francisco, California. He was born October 9, 1962 Queen of the World Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri to Kenneth and Gloria Jean Pickens, Sr.. Shawn grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and tended Kansas City public schools tending Seven Oaks Elementary . He ler moved to Altus, Oklahoma and stayed with his sister Ceola and brother in law Reed Robinson and tended high school in Altus, Oklahoma, ler returning to Kansas City. He continued to be adventurous and simply moved about enjoying life. Shawn, was a very outgoing person fearless and fun. He loved his family and was challenging times. He mostly kept to himself, but kept his family close especially his Momma (Mother Gloria). Shawn was caring, kind and had a gre relionship with people he would meet and friends. he enjoyed cooking, video games (Xbox) and music especially Janet Jackson. Shawn, ler found himself in California living his best life and was a California resident for over twenty years. During this time he made many new friends and enjoyed his time on the west coast, ler he became a fixture the The Facility (his apartment complex) where he fellowshiped with the staff and workers becoming important in their lives. Shawn was preceded in transition by his parents Kenneth Sr. and Gloria J. Pickens; brothers Kenneth, Jr. and Allen W. Pickens; grandmothers Odessa Crawford and Rhoda (Roberts)-Pickens, Sim Pickens, Gre grandmother Htie Means; grandfhers A.B. Brown and ; aunts Flora West and Annetta Jones and sister-in-law Cassandra McMh. He is survived by brothers Curtis Ray Brown(Debra), Herman Brown and Tommy McMh; sisters Ceola Charles and Sheryl Pickens; a host of nieces, nephews, relives and friends.
