Obituary for Mr. Ronell Milton Foster Sr.

Ronell was born to Allen and Emma Virginia (EV) Foster on August 21, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was the second oldest of four children * his parents, sister Mary Foster-Tswago and wife Yudonna Foster preceded him in deh. He accepted Christ, was Baptized and ordained as a Deacon years prior to becoming a member Transfigurion of Christ Church. Ronell gradued from Central High School in 1963. After graduing from high school, he enlisted into the United Stes Navy, USS Ticonderoga in San Diego, CA. He was an Aircraft Handler Supervisor for Flight Operions for 3* years. During his enlistment he transferred a few times to various positions. The first transfer was to the Avionics Division where he was placed in charge of Night Operions and during this period obtained the rank of E-5 spending several tours in Vietnam; Naval Air Stion North Island for flight training in Anti-Submarine Warfare; after completion of flight school he then transferred to Pron 9 Naval Air Stion in Moffett Field, CA where he was made Flight Tech & Flight Engineer for the Captain of the Squadron; he was also placed in charge of an eight man crew. His next transfer after spending another tour in Vietnam was to the Naval Air Stion in Lemoore, CA as an Automic Flight Control Instructor. Ronell was Honorably discharged the rank of E-6, Active Duty on June 5, 1971. Ronell was assigned to the United Stes Naval Reserve NAS Olhe Squadron 35217 in 1976. The primary mission was for backup for Active Duty Personnel NAS Moffett, CA. His assignment was instructing aviion electronics and automic flight control systems. During Ronell*s military career he received 2 Good Conduct Medals, 4 Bronze Stars, 1 Gold Star, 1 Meritorious Commendion, Air Wings, Navy Unit Commendion, Nional Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Medal with 3 stars and the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Meritorious Unit Cition. Ronell began his career with the Kansas City Police Department in November of 1971 as a Field Prol and Training Officer. He had several assignments th consisted of Northeast Prol Division, Tactical Uni, East Prol Division, Personnel Employment Unit and North Prol Division. He was assigned to the 860 Squad where his primary function was an Anti-Sniper. He was assigned to CA Persons Investigor Homicide Unit where he received several commendions. He was assigned to assist the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as an Undercover Agent. Ronell retired in December of 1997. As if ALL th wasn*t enough in the midst of everything – Ronell decided to further his educion by tending Central Missouri Ste University * graduing with a Bachelor*s Degree in Criminal Justice in 1976. Things Ronell Enjoyed: Being a Police Officer, Church, wching old Western shows and movies, wching Pro and College Football, wching fishing shows, FISHING in Bass Tournaments, being a Member/President of Sol Pro Bass Club and Member/President of Honor Bass Club, Shopping on Amazon and talking *Trash* th was spoken in his own special and direct manner. Memories of Ronell will be cherished by: his Brothers * Marvin Foster and Harvey Foster of Kansas City, MO; his brother-in-law * Masaline Tswago of Pinole, CA; his Children * Leonard (Earl) McLoyd of Minneapolis, MN; Dan Garth, Sr. (Carmen), Jerome Foster (Evelyn) of Raytown, MO, Ronell Foster, Jr. of Sacramento, CA; Richard Foster, Sr. (Teresa), Angela Sullivan (Cortez) of Vallejo, CA; David Foster, Sheree Aidoo (Michael), Kansas City, MO; Shelaine Compton (Kevin) of Independence, MO; thirty-two wonderful Grandchildren, forty-two beautiful Gre-Grandchildren and a host of loving family and two special friends * Van Racy and Lee Edwards.
