Obituary for Mr. Melvin Joe Willie Ward

We are ghered here today to celebre the life and service of Melvin Joe Willie Ward, a Fher, Grandfher, Stepfher, Brother and Friend. Melvin passed away peacefully on June 17, 2021 Saint Luke’s East Hospital, in Lees Summit, Missouri. He was born on August 4, 1941, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the union of Odester M. Jones and Caesar Ward, As he reunites with them in the kingdom of Glory, He was proceeded in deh by his brothers: Greg Ward, Eddie Ward, (twin brothers) Elmer and Delmar Ward, Theopolis Wilson and his grandson Deanthoni Sanders. Melvin is a Veteran of the United Stes Military and a Mechanic; He has three electronic degrees and is a jack of all trades. He can fix anything and a master of everything. Most of his days were spent his three favorite places: “Auto 1, Pick and Pull, and the Bo” Melvin is so unconditionally loved th his passing seems surreal. Although he rarely said the words “I Love You” Melvin often showed it by his actions. He was comical and liked to tell jokes and war stories of his time spent in the Military. He shared this side of him with everyone including the doctors and nurses who cared for him. In short, He remained himself until GOD called him home. Melvin is also a giver; He would give his last to those he felt were in need either financially or through service. He will forever be a legend and leader A fundamental example of humility and integrity, To those who knew him, know th he is happy and peace. You will never be able to find a person like Melvin. He was a one of a kind, generous, loving and free hearted, solider. He leaves behind to cherish and hold his memory, His Children, Melva Ward, Barbara Minor and Lamont Minor Sr. His Grandchildren, JoNicqa Rainey, Derrick Sanders, Lamont Minor Jr., Emmonie Minor, La’Sha Thomas, (Boogie) aka Willsean Minor and Melaizah Ward aka (Pookie Pooh), Four Brothers; Robert Ward, Stevie Ward, Cornelius Wilson and Elzy Ward and one Sister Pam Ward, Stepchildren and a host of other family and friends.
