Mr. Lonnie Ray ‘Salty Dog’ Gson

Lonnie Ray ‘Salty Dog’ Gson was born on June 6th, 1950 in Kansas City, Kansas to parents th loved him: Carlston *Pete* Gson and Zella Ruth (Smith) Gson. Lonnie was the 2nd oldest of nine children. Lonnie has four brothers: Billy Carl *Bam* Gson, Glenn Dale Gson, Mark Levan Gson, and Jerry Lynn Gson. Lonnie was preceded by his four sisters: Priscilla Ann (Gson) Campbell, Linda Kay Gson, Khryn Marie Gson, and Pamela Gwen Gson. Lonnie was the life of every party and adored by everyone th knew him. Lonnie wore many hs (both literally and figurively) throughout the course of his life. Whether as a salesman, a DJ, or just as *Salty Dog*, Lonnie*s life crossed phs with many people of many walks of life from Kansas City to Cleveland. He affected every heart th he touched. Lonnie was a longtime member of Ornament of Grace Christian Center where he received his youngest brother, Jerry as his pastor. Lonnie is survived by his two children: Victor Logan and Saundra Nicole *Nikki* (Guess) Harris. He also leaves with us grandchildren: Ramesses II, Alfred James, Tyran Michael, Victoria Tai-Maur*i Logan, and Gabry*eL Elisabeth Logan, as well as a countless number of family and friends th love him. Lonnie Ray Gson went his home in glory on February 13th, 2021 the age of 70 years old. He will always be missed and will never be forgotten.
