Mr. Derick “D Rock” Roberts

Derick “D Rock” Roberts passed away on 11/3/2021 Research Medical Center. Derick was born March 3, 1965 to Johnnie Roberts & Cecelia Moore Roberts in Kansas City, MO. He was the first child to this union. He began his formal educion Linwood Elementary then to Troost Elementary graduing from Southwest High School class of “83” Kansas City, Missouri.* He accepted Christ an early age Brooklyn Ave. Baptist Church under the pastore of C.G. Wilson. After High School Derick enlisted in the United Stes Army age 17, obtaining the rank of specialist prior to being honorably discharged. Derick worked as an machinist, and ler then went on to work for Pittney Bowes as a sorter. In 2019 he met and married the former Ms. Rachel Ozburn. He enjoyed fishing, football, playing pool & spending family time. He was preceded in deh by mernal grandmother Eloise Scott & pernal grandmother Laura Bell Dorris. He leaves to cherish his parents Cecelia Moore Roberts, Johnnie Roberts, Sr.; His siblings Cassandra Swanson, Curtis Roberts (Robin), Johnnie Roberts Jr (Demonica); His children Derick Roberts II, Andrea Roberts, Brittany Roberts, Cullen Roberts & Daniella Roberts and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces & nephews.
