Obituary for Mr. Antonio Maurice Griffin

Antonio Maurice Griffin was the youngest child born to the union of John L. and Cherrie Griffin on December 9, 1968. He affectionely preferred to be called Tony by those who were near and dear to him. He was preceded in deh by his eldest brother, Johnny “Prince” Griffin and his special niece, Anesha Griffin. Carlos Griffin is the surviving brother to carry on the family lineage. Tony was educed in the Kansas City Public School System and gradued Ruskin High School with the Class of 1987.He enjoyed the outdoors, roller sking, riding his bicycle, and visiting friends. Antonio was a jack of all trades, but his passion was automobiles. He was the consumme auto salesman, auto detailer, and auto mechanic. He enjoyed it so much th he worked on his friends’ cars for free his dealership. After this, he worked part-time AutoZone and FedEx. Tony met and fell in love with Kimberly E. Wkins, 30 years ago. God blessed them with a lovechild, Logan Simone Wkins, who became the love of his life. He enjoyed caring and supporting Logan along her journey in life. Logan multiplied his joy by birthing his first grandchild, Malina, on January 26, 2021. Malina became the apple of his eye . As Papa, he would nurture her life by playing with her with a variety of educional toys. Antonio had an infectious smile, and he will be sadly missed by his best buddy and pool partner, Cousin Craig McGrone along with his best friend Walker who was his bedside daily and always stood by Tony during hard times and good times. Antonio professed his love for Jesus Christ the age of fourteen and was baptized Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. Prior to his deh he was taken on a spiritual journey where he saw the ges of heaven open. One week prior to his tragic accident he experienced personal renewal a tent revival. Two days before passing he appeared to his mother in a dream the foot of her bed, Antonio called on the name of Jesus and Jesus answered his call and the Ges of Heaven opened and he entered. He earned his wings on August 15, 2022. Antonio’s memory will be forever cherished by his parents John L. and Cherrie Griffin; daughter, Logan Simone Wkins; brother, Carlos Griffin; life partner, Kimberly E. Wkins; along with a host family and friends because he never met a stranger.
