Mother Helen Marie Broadnax

Mother Helen Marie Broadnax Ms. Helen Broadnax went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2023. She was born July 25, 1941 to the union of Eugene and Lula Hyman in Dallas, Texas. Both parents and four children Gary, Chris, Sharon, Bennie and husband James Broadnax Jr preceded her in transition. Helen received her formal education in Hot Springs, Arkansas. After completing high school she attend nursing school. She married Booker T. Hill to this union five children where born. She later married James Broadnax Jr on March 13, 1978. to this union seven children were given. Charles Hyman Sr., Dennis Hyman, Bennie Hill, Curtis Hill, Gary Hill, Sharon Hill and Tony Hill. Helen loved reading her Bible, and Praising The Lord, singing in the choir, doing nursing home ministry, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Helen Confessed her love for Christ at an early age. She was a devoted Mother, prayer warrior and choir member, ministry leader of Sheffield Family Life Center until her transition. She leaves to cherish her memory sister Dorothy Newton; sons Charles Hyman(Artina), Dennis Hyman(Augustine), Tony Hill(Sonya), Robert Mills(Joann); Daughters Joyce Williams and Dee Dee Slaughter and a special granddaughter Evonne Anderson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Service Held: Friday, November 17, 2023 Sheffield Family Life Center 5700 Winner Rd. / KCMO, Interment was at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
