Maxine Helen (Ross) Bankhead

Maxine Helen (Ross) Bankhead was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on July 9, 1924 to Edward and Pearl Ross. She was the eighth of their eleven children. Maxine completed he primary educion and went on to gradue from Lincoln High School. In 1950 Maxine married Jeff Bankhead within their union they had four children stepdaughter Hulah, stepson John, two sons Quinton and Lynn. Maxine worked fifteen years for the KCMO School District, then ten years for the Wyandotte County Health Department. Before retiring, she worked for the KCKS School District. Maxine was a very devoted woman of God th knew no strangers. Maxine was preceded in deh by her siblings Georgia, Edward, Lawrence, Robert, Joe, Freda, Denver, Barbara, Howard, Husband Jeff, stepdaughter Hulah, stepson John and son Lynn. She is survived by her son Quinton Zenon (Jackie), grandchildren Robert Zenon, Melonie Clay (Andre), Jada Zenon, Yolanda Brownlee (Jay), siblings Lelia Johnson, eleven gre-grandchildren, ten gre-gre grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
