L.C. Hooker, Sr.

L.C. Hooker, Sr. 87 passed away peacefully on August 7, 2015 was born June 5, 1928 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to Alex and Leona Hooker. He was preceded in deh by his parents Alex and Leona, wife Cozetta Hooker, grandsons Roy Lee Epps, Jr. and Edward A. Maxwell, Jr. along with Seacer, L.T., Willie, John Lee, Rosemary, Eva Mae, Estella, and Mae Lean. L.C. was a very comical person who loved to sing, especially gospel. He was the founder of the Hooker Gospel Singers Group. He worked Truman Medical Center for many years until he retired. an early age he found Christ. He was a Deacon for many years and was a member of God Grace & Mercy Ministry Outreach under the Pastorialship of Pastor Otis Lee Hooker. L.C. loved the Lord with all his heart. He was married to Cozetta Williams and to this union 9 children were born. L.C. Hooker, Sr. leaves behind to cherish his fond memories: his wonderful children Jewell Burrage, Rowena Boykin (Aron), Evonne Hooker, Cora Hooker, Mazetta Lewis (Harland), L.C. Hooker, Jr. (Gloria), Pastor Otis Lee Hooker (Robin), Gilbert Hooker, Donny Hooker (Crina); Uncle Andrew and Aunt Anna Mae Barnes; Aunt Irene Golston of Memphis, Tennessee; a host of grandchildren, gre- grandchildren, and other family members and close friends who loved him dearly..
