Kenneth Ray Reece

Kenneth Ray Reece, affectionely known as *PAPA,* was born on June 8, 1962, to Charles Reece Sr. and Lucille Biggs Reece, of Kansas City, MO. Kenneth departed this life in his home on April 9, 2018. He was preceded in deh by his loving parents, several aunts, uncles and cousins and a brother-in-law, Robert Tinsley. Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 17 years, Sheliah Reece, daughter Tiauni Erby; and Amber, Brooke, and Holly Caldwell whom he loved as his own daughters; and stepchildren Jason Cash and Marlo Cash. Three brothers, Charles Reece Jr, and Edward Reece of Kansas City, MO and Ricky Reece (Angela) of Jacksonville, North Carolina. Four sisters, Barbara Jean Roe, Janice Reece, Sandra Reece-Tinsley and Brenda Reece of Kansas City, MO. Seven grandchildren, Briana and Trashona Erby, De*Shawn Lockridge, Jacoby, J*Shan, and J*Quan Cash and Rondaia Ford; four Godchildren, Maddison, Morga, Maryhia, and Leilani, an aunt, nieces and nephews; gre nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Kenneth received his educion from the Kansas City Missouri Public School System. He worked Nitto Denko Automotive, Inc. as a machine operor for 15 years. He belonged to United Auto Workers Local #710. Kenneth accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior a young age. He tended various churches in the Kansas City metropolitan area throughout his life. In the early 2000s he became a deacon Life Tabernacle Pentecostal Church under the leadership of District Elder Clarence Johnson II. (deceased). Kenneth enjoyed sports, especially basketball and boxing. Like his fher before him, he enjoyed wching his favorite old western TV shows. He also loved to barbecue. He would grill everything in the refrigeror and freezer as if he were feeding a multitude of people. When asked why he grilled so much a time, he would say, *You don*t let a good fire go to waste for a couple pieces of me.* He loved to talk. And talk he did! When he called you on the phone, you couldn*t get a word in edgewise and sometimes he would answer himself. He would go on and on about whever was burning on his heart and mind. *PAPA* as everyone knew and called him, was a gracious man. For some he was known as the *preaching deacon.* He had a gre sense of humor, but could be serious too. He was extremely appreciive of everything anyone did for him. Most of all, Kenneth treasured the time he spent with God, reading and studying His Word. He believed in prayer and the power of it, and prayed often to God on behalf of his family and friends. He was a true prayer warrior.
