Obituary for Keith Alexander Starr
Keith Alexander Starr May 10th, 1973 March 22nd, 2025 Keith Alexander Starr was born on May 10th, 1973 to Ella Mae Starr and Alexander Baker in Kansas City, MO. He was the youngest of 11 children. 7 boys and 4 girls. Keith unfortunately lost his sudden yet abrupt battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer. He gained his wings on Saturday, March 22, 2025, surrounded by many of his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Mae Starr, his father, Alexander Baker, his brother James Stafford Sr., and his sisters Bobbi Beard, Katherine Stafford, and Tina Starr, his maternal and paternal grandparents, his nephews Arthur Stafford Jr., Dominique Stafford, and Kane Streitz, niece Oriana Starr, and two sister in-laws, Linda Stafford and Kimberly Gibson-Stafford. Keith grew up in the church, taking after his mother, Ella. His primary church growing up was Shiloh Baptist Church, where he was also baptized. He was inspired to play drums after watching his older brother Tracy play in the church choir. He attended different schools in the Kansas City public school district, such as Sandford B. Ladd and Central High School. Keith had a love for music, so he joined the Marching Cobras in his 20*s. Keith had his hands full from raising his 4 beautiful daughters. He also gained a bonus daughter from his last relationship. Any person could see that Keith was an outstanding father, who was always going out of his way to see those girls excel. Keith was a jack of all trades. He succeeded in many different career paths in his life. He worked in office settings. He worked in the Kansas city construction scene, even working in underground caves. He traveled for work. His latest career path was as a dedicated maintenance man, for over a decade. When he put his focus somewhere, he mastered it. Keith was one of the biggest Chief*s fans you could ever meet. Being born and raised in the home of The Kansas City Chiefs, it was an obvious choice. He has attended games, collected various Chief memorabilia, and watched every single game. He stuck behind his team through every win, and every loss. Fortunately, he was able to see his first Chiefs SuperBowl win in 2020, and witness his favorite team win two more championship rings following that. Keith was a team player. He was a family man. He was a lover, a fighter. He gave so much in his lifetime to others, it's astounding. He was father of the year, he was a favorite uncle, he was the baby brother. Keith had a smile that could light up a room. His laugh was infectious. He made an impression on anyone he came across. That man could outdress anyone in the room. In his free time, he loved to travel and explore new places. He was a momma*s boy till the very end. Most of all, he made others happy because in the grand scheme of things, it made him happy. He will be dearly missed by his daughters, his family, his friends. He leaves those to cherish his legacy, whom are his daughters; Ashley Epperson, Anestazia Epperson, Angel Epperson, and Aleecia Starr, 2 grandchildren; Lennox Romero and Omari Ramseur, his siblings; Arthur Stafford Sr., Darryl Stafford Sr., Jacqueline Starr, Troy Starr, Tracy Starr, and Roland Starr, long-term partner Alyssa Dodd and bonus daughter Ishauna Dodd, many nieces and nephews, friends, and co-workers.
