Obituary for John W. Hunt

John W. Hunt 76, passed February 10, 2019 was born May 15, 1943 to the union of John D. Hunt and Heressie Singleton Hunt in Minden, Louisiana and was the only child born to this union. He became the big brother and the oldest of his siblings. He helped to care for them, to cook and clean up after them. He was a big help to his parents. He gradued from Webster High School in Minden, Louisiana and tended technical school to train for welding. John traveled often to visit his aunt, Jessie, and on one of those trips he met and married Gloria Hill. They had 3 children, John Jr. Yvette and Yolanda. John first worked in the plumbing business with his fher in law, William Hill, worked as a welder, then became an A bus driver. Often, John would pick up his family and they would ride with him through the city. John loved to travel and his life-long ambition was to become a greyhound bus driver. John spent additional years in Minden, Shreveport and in Kansas City after he and Gloria divorced. He confessed Jesus as his Lord and Savior, tending one time Miracle Temple. He was preceded in deh by his parents and three siblings. He leaves to cherish his memory, his 3 children, John (Melody) Hunt, Yvette (Paul) Johnson, Yolanda (Eric) Sanders. Siblings: Ivory Jean Qualls, Larry Singleton, Annie Faye Thomas, Fannie Gaskins, Edna Kimble, Helen Hunt, Johnny Hunt, Jr. Cherris Hunt, Pricia Delridge, Brenda (Kenneth) Rhyn and a host of other family.
