John L. Green
John passed away at the remarkable age of 84. John was born on May 30, 1940, in Morrilton, Arkansas as the first born of ten children to P.L. Green and Verlena Brockington Green His parents, one son John Green Jr., one daughter LaTasha Green, one sister Norma D. Green, Three brothers Eddie Lee Green, David Lee Green and Johnny Ray Green preceded him in death. John peacefully transitioned to be with his Lord and savior, May 15, 2025, at the North Kansas City Hospice House with his daughter Sheila Green and niece Benita Williams at his bed side. John was unity in Holy Matrimony to Ethel Mae Parks on August 11, 1979. Two children were born In this union. One son Terrence Alan Green and one daughter LaTasha Green. John was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church where he was a faithful member until his health Begin to fail. He served on the Deacon Board and Usher Board under Pastor Irving and Pastor Stevens. John retired from Central State Trucking as a truck driver after many years of over the road driving. John hobbies were hunting and fishing with his dear friends and cousin Billy. John strength were rooted in his relationship with God his family, his children, grand and great grand-children and close friends. John is survived by his wife for forty-five years Ethel Mae Green, one daughter Sheila Green, Decatur IL, Four sons, Andre Green, Decatur, IL. Terrence Alan Green, Kansas City, MO., Rodney Parks (Robin) Kansas City, MO, Reginald Parks, Little Rock, Arkansas, Ten-Grand-Children, Twenty Five Great Grand Children. One brother Samuel Green, Denver, CO, four sisters G.Geree Williams, Denver, CO. Vernell Green, Northwoods, MO., Mae Albert, Englewood, CO., Shirley Green Oil, Denver, CO. Seven Brother-in-Laws, E.J. Parks, Robert Parks (Marcie) Dwight Parks (Donna) Johnny Parks, Tommy Parks (Martessia) William Parks, and Charles Parks. Six Sister-in Laws Coma Wilborn, Marilyn Williams, Lucretia Akins, Vivian Jeffers (Douglas) Ellen Parks and Gail Parks. Many nieces, nephew and cousins. Funeral Services Held; Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church 4545 Benton Blvd. / KCMO Visitation is from: 10:00 AM-11:00 AM with Funeral Services at 11:00 AM. Interment was in XII Gates Memorial Gardens Kansas City, Missouri.
