John Henry Stephens, Jr.

John Henry Stephens, Jr. 58  peacefully passed  away on February 14, 2016, was born to John Henry, Sr. and Jean A. Stephens on October 27, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Kansas. In 1953 the family, which had been blessed with another son, James T. Stephens, moved to Kansas City. A reserved child, John Henry, Jr. Affectionely called ‘Rusty’, was an avid golden gloves boxer. After graduing from Paseo High School in 1969. Rust entered the United Stes Marine Corps. A keen student, Rusty tended college in California and Missouri and received his post High School Degree. Taught to be industrious in his early years, Rusty worked as a government employee for over 30 years. Rusty was preceded in deh by his parents, John Henry Stephens, Sr. and Jean A. Stephens, his aunt Elvira Collins Held a Special place in his heart. Rusty also leaves to mourn his siblings; James T. Stephens (Janie), of Riverside California, Sandra K. Warren of the City, Denise L. Stephens of the City, Jeffrey R. Stephens of Detroit, Michigan, Jerome Stephens of Englewood, California and Joey R. Stephens (Candace) of the City; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and other friends th will miss his presence as well. Memorial Celebrion held Surday February 20, 2016 Visition 10 am  to 12 pm Service 12 pm New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 8129 Paseo Blvd. Kansas City, KS 64131.  Interment Monday February 22, 2016, 10 am Fort Leavenworth Nional Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth, KS
