Joe L. Ashley, Sr.

*Joe L. Ashley, Sr. was born May 26, 1934 in Ringold, Louisiana to Roosevelt Ashley and Flossie Moore-Ashley. *He was preceded in deh by his parents, his wife, Vickey Merritt; his brother Roosevelt Ashley, Jr., and one sister Bessie M. Ashley. *He tended the Spring Hill School District and Ringold Colored High School before moving to the Kansas City Missouri area age of 17. *He was self-employed as an Auto Mechanic employee for over 50 years *He ler met amd marreied Vickey Merritt in 1962 and to this union 5 children where born, Joe Ashley, Jr., Yodora Ashley, James Ashley, Larry Ashley, and Nicole Ashley. *On September 7, 2016, Joe was called to Heaven leaving behind to cherish his memories along with his children: his brothers, Frank A. Ashley, William Ashley, Kevin Ashley; one special grandson Sir Aaron Ashley; along with a host of other other relives and close friends.
