JoAnn Coleman

JoAnn Coleman was the daughter of the late Jonas Coleman and Gertrude Coleman. She grew up in Dubberly, LA. and at eight years old she joined Galilee Baptist Church. She attended Central Consolidated High School. After graduating high school she attended Southern University and Commercial College of Sherveport. She relocated to Kansas City, KS. and pursued a career in early chilhood education. During her career she relocated to Kansas City, MO. She remained in this career field for 20 years and retired at an early age. JoAnn had three children; Sherrie, Anthony and Deidre. She was proceeded in death by one sister, Alvern ; three brothers, James Edward, Joe Walter and Roy Lee; two brothers in law, John and Raymond. She is survived by children Sherrie Coleman, Anthony Coleman and Deidre Coleman; all located in Kansas City, MO. Siblings, Helen Nicholson of Dubberly, LA., Geneva Coleman of Houston, TX., Johnny Charles Coleman of Tulsa, OK. and sister in law Genell Coleman of Tulsa, OK. JoAnn is also survived by granddaughter Raniya and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, other relatives and friends.
