Obituary for Jimmy L. ‘Crip’ Canady

Jimmy L. ‘Crip’ Canady was born April 29, 1955 in Htiesville, Arkansas to Ruby Mae Canady. He receive his formal educion from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Jimmy met and married the love of his life Brenda Arnetta Canady. They had three children and raised so many more grandkids, nieces and nephews over the years. There was always a child to take care of in their home. Like his wife Brenda, he was an excellent cook and he enjoyed smoking barbeque from his home made refrigeror smoker. You never missed his barbeque. He also enjoyed fixing breakfast for the family which usually turned into a le lunch by the time he was done. Jimmy worked Hallmark cards and ler moved on to Western Container where for over 30 years before the company closed, as a forklift operor. He also served as a security guard for the company Securitas. All his life he worked hard to provide for his family. He also had an infectious smile and would say funniest things to make you laugh. Sometimes putting his jokes in the form of a song. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing dominoes and declared often th he was the greest player ever. He had truly mastered the game and kept a record of all of his wins. He was an excellent musician and loved to play the piano and organ. He and his beloved wife Brenda would spend many hours listening and dancing to music or listening to him play the organ. He loved basketball, football and baseball. He was a long-time member of “The Fellas” baseball club th hosted local parties, baseball teams, served the community and hosted an annual golf tournament every year. Jimmy was truly loved by his family friends and in his community.
