Obituary for Jessie Mae Brewster

Jessie Mae Brewster, passed away January 13, 2024, she was born June 28, 1937, to Mary Bland Williams and Henry Herron, both preceded her in death. She was the second of eleven children. She attended Lincoln High School and RT Coles. She met and married Sylvester Thomas Brewster in 1956, he preceded her in death in 2022. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1973 and enjoyed the privilege of serving as a publisher and regular pioneer. She was introduced to the truth by Beverly Kitchen and later studied with Lillian Nickerson. She served Jehovah faithfully for over 50 years. Jessie was employed at Ben's Market as cashier. She was a caring mother, a loving and supportive wife, an amazing cook, a meticulous homemaker and generous hostess. She extended hospitality to traveling overseers and friends from various congregations. Her courageous spirit inspired her sons to be the industrious and caring men they are today. She was preceded in death by five other siblings, Clyde Mae Preston, Marie Brown, Henry Herron, Hennrietta Wright and Robert Herron. She leaves to cherish her memory; four sisters Sisretha Gentry, Margaret Herron, Gracie Anderson and JoAnn Minor and one brother Johnny Herron; five sons Sylvester James(Diane), Robert Lee(Dyan), Jesse Eugene Wesley, Daryle(Danita), Gerald Brewster, daughter Shelly Brown(Tyrone); five grandsons Gary Starr Brewster(Tennille), Sylvester James Jr(Angel), Robert Lee Jr(Kelle), Richard Lee, Gerald Lee(Ciera) Brewster; seven granddaughters Kenisha Hawkins, Teresa Hawkins, LaShaunda Rowe(Gary), Trinicka Harden(Ryan), Andrea Porter, CoRea Smith and Mariah Sowell; a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, relatives and many friends.
