Obituary for Ja’Von Antonyo Looney

“To everything there is a season; a time for every purpose under heaven!” Book of Ecclesiastes “A time to be born.” -Ecclesiastes 3:2 Ja’Von Antonyo Looney was born on July 13, 1980. He was the first born to James Lee and Florence Looney. His fher, James Lee preceded him in deh along with his pernal grandmother, Barbara Ann Lee and mernal grandfher, Floyd Looney. “When I was a child.” – 1 Corinthians 13:11 Ja’Von received his early educion Brown Caldwell Christian Academy, Paul Roberson Junior High School and Southeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He ler obtained his General Educion Development along with certificions in Food Service Management and General Construction. “Whosoever believeth.” – John 3:16 Ja’Von accepted Christ and grew in sture and wisdom of the Lord an early age. He received his Christian training and experiences Haven of Rest Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. His Christian walk allowed him to be a member of the Sunday School and youth choir, where he served faithfully. “Whever you do, do it with all your heart.” – Colossians 3:23a Ja’Von developed a love for dance and entertainment an early age. He often participed in local talent shows performing dance routines to New Edition, Michael Jackson and several rhythm and blues entertainers. Ja’Von enjoyed working with his hands. He was passione and enthusiastic about self-employment opportunities—capturing the American dream; he worked as an entrepreneur in several building trades including roofing, painting and construction management. Ja’Von also worked as a cook for the Olive Garden Restaurants in Springfield, MO. In his recreional time, Ja’Von enjoyed chess, bowling and basketball. He was determined to be “The Best” every task th he took on. “A time to die.” – Ecclesiastes 3:2 “One glad morning, when this life is over, I’ll fly away!” On Thursday, July 14th, 2016, in Kansas City, Missouri, the angel of Grace and Mercy called Ja’Von home, to a life in the everlasting arms of Jesus Christ. “I will not leave you comfortless.” – John:18 Ja’Von leaves to cherish his memory, eight children: Javonna Looney, Ky’Vonna Webb, Jade Looney, Ja’Von Looney, Jr., Tarina Looney, Jo’Von Amir Looney, JaRon Looney and Actovia Johnson. To cherish his life is his mother Florence Looney, grandmother, Shirley Looney, gre grandmother, Nadine Whitmire and his wife Amy Looney. To treasure gre memories are his siblings: Roneus Looney and Ruth Ann Lee. To always remember his kind spirit are nieces and nephews: Tajia Carson, Nikyrean Looney, Sirroneus Looney, Ronesey Looney, Alani Looney and Tarrionna Looney. To cherish him as a gre friend, special aunt, protector and confidant, Toni Herriford. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss his larger than life personality, endless energy, strong hugs, kisses and smile of Gold!
