James Henry Lee

James Henry Lee, was born on January 4, 1931 to Walter Lee and Ethel Faison in Norfolk, Virginia. His parents and three siblings precede him in transition brothers Junius and George Lee, his sister Lydia Lee-Scott. James was educated in Virginia. He joined the United States Air Force in 1951. On June 30, 1953 he married the love of his life Carrie E. Langston in , they were married for over 68 years. They were blessed with a daughters Carrie And Debbie. A traveling military family the Lee's lived in many areas of the country and overseas as James pursued his career finally settling in the Kansas City area to raise their family. During his time in the service he received many service awards and commendations during this time he also became a Mason of the MWPHGL of Washington State, and used to tell us how his small Lodge built a lodge hall in Japan. After retiring from the Air Force as a Master Sargent, with twenty-two years of service. James started a second career with Sears and Roebuck again retiring after twenty years. He became active in his community through various civic and church organizations, all the while inspiring young people to due their best. He served in his church Longview Methodist Church, served as President of the South Side Optimist Club on more than one occasion and served as District Governor. In the early seventies he became a member of Amos Johnson Lodge #148 serving as Master of the Lodge for three consecutive years. During his Masonic endeavors he was a well respected member of the fraternity serving as a District Deputy Grand Master as well a a Right Worshipful Board Member of the MWPHGL of Missouri as well as serving as the longtime Worthy Patron of Lonestar Chapter #2 Order Eastern Star. James cherished sending time with his family most especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. He leaves to cherish with loving memories his devoted wife of the home Carrie E. Lee; daughters Carrie Fuller and Debora Tilman; a host of nieces, nephews a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
