Obituary for Hobby Moore

Hobby B. Moore was born on October 20, 1934, in Shreveport, LA, to Sam Moore and Lonnie Smith. Hobby left Louisiana at a young age before settling in Kansas City, Missouri, which is where he met his soon to be wife Rosie, in 1968. They were married in October of 1976 and were married for 44 years before God called her home, on September 3, 2020. Hobby was employed at Manning*s Metal Shop for many years and before he officially retired, his last job was driving the delivery truck for Auto Plus. In his spare time, Hobby enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dominos and watching old westerns and crime shows. Hobby loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving because he dressed sharp and took his lovely wife, Rosie, to the Thanksgiving Day Rhythm and Blues Breakfast Dance. Back in the day, he was a good cook and loved to spend time with his family and friends. Preceding him in death are his parents, Sam and Lonnie, his wife Rosie L. Moore, his oldest son Reginald B. Davis Jr and his grandson Marcus Brown. Hobby leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sisters, Mary Toussaint, Dorothy River, and Betty Barnes, his surviving children, Michael Davis (Brenda), Cynthia D. Dorch, Sandra K. Brown, Stanley R. Davis, Charles D. Davis, (Sheila), Sonya J. Davis, Hobby B. Moore II, Patrick J. Moore and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
