Gordon Porter

Gordon C. Porter 76 entered this world’s journey on February 27, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri. Gordon was preceded in deh by his fher, the le Rev. Louis l. Merrill and his mother Rosie Porter. He departed this life’s journey on March 15, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Gordon was also preceded in deh by his siblings; brothers, Robert Porter, Alfred Porter, Bruce Merrill; sisters Willie Porter. Ester Jean Beloney, Loretta Lucas, and Millicent Merrill. Gordon (aka – Jitter Bug – by family and friends) tended Kansas City Missouri public schools and believed to have gradued from Lincoln High in 1958 (1959). He also worked several jobs throughout his life and retired from Howell Mouldings after 42 years of dedicion. Gordon liked to Barbecue, entertaining, travel, and gambling. Gordon (Jitter Bug) leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Mabeline Porter; daughters Carla Dorsey, Lora Chambers, Bettye Brown, George Anne Brown; sons, Ocie Brown(Joanne), Timmie Brown(Vivian), and Barry Brown; brother, James Merrill(Joyce); sisters, Arlene Jackson, Wilma Burns, Barbara Baker, Yvonne Doolin, Anne Jackson, Carolyn Merrill; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relives and friends.
