Georgia Beasley Cunningham

Georgia Beasley Cunningham 71 was born in Danville, Arkansas on January 28, 1947 to Jim and Alma Tolbert. She passed away peacefully on February 24, 2018 St. Luke’s Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in deh by her loving parents; one son Derrick White-Tolbert; brothers Raymond I. Adams, Coy L. Adams, Lawrence C. Adams, William J. Adams, sisters- Juanita Scott and Jennett Smith. The family moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi where she accepted Christ an early age, and began singing and playing the piano. After high school, she remained in Clarksdale and furthered her educion Coahoma College. Georgia ler moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where her son Derrick was born. In addition to being an amazing mother to her son, she served as Minister of Music for many years Greer Rising Star. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she met the love of her life, Lee Cunningham. Together they enjoyed ministering through song various churches and special engagements where she would often play the piano. Bria, her granddaughter, was born and captured her heart. Georgia fought a good fight, but kept the faith believing th she would reunite with her son. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband Lee Cunningham; siblings, Charles Adams (Ruby), Elnora Jimmerson (Henry), Evelyn Brown, Jimmie Nicklos, Shirley Middleton; five sons, Damien Caldwell (Tamara), Steve Cunningham (Annette), Tony Gunnels (Boo), Rodney Graves and Kirk Graves; two daughters, Wandene Rivers (Carl), and Rena Abdulrahman (Ahmad); special goddaughter, Nicole McCray; special niece Bonita ‘Bonnie’ Haywood; granddaughter Bria Suria Tolbert; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relives and friends.
