Obituary for Freda Kay Quinn

Freda Kay Quinn was born December 8, 1962 in Kansas City, Kansas to Fred Quinn Sr. and Cinderella Common-Quinn. She was preceded in transition by both parents, three brothers Robert “Bob” Quinn, Will Quinn and Fred Quinn Jr.; two sisters Dorothy “Dot” Quinn and Norma Jean Quinn-Kilgore. At a young age, Freda was baptized and became a member of ST. John Missionary Baptist Church whe she attended Sunday School, VBS and BTU. She graduated with honors from F.L. Schlagle High School and furthured her education at Kansas State University, Donnelly College and Wright Business School with a focus in Business and Accounting. Over the years she worked in various client service positions, management and as an independent tax professional consultant. In 2011 Freda united with MT. Caramel Baptist Missionary Church in Topeka, Kansas where she served as Sunday School Secretary, sang in the choir and worked with the youth.. She also served on the Mission Board and led as Mission President from 2016 to 2025. She loved serving GOD and spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and going out to eat. She was a sports fan and was a FANatic for the Kansas City based professional sports teams. Freda Kay Quinn, shall be greatly missed and is survived by two children James Wesley(Jessica) of Kansas City, Kansas; daughter Teresa Wesley(Maurice) of Topeka, Kansas; four sisters Josephine Quinn of Kansas City, Missouri, Brenda Quinn, Joy Quinn-Frazier(Warren) and Cindy Quinn all of Kansas City, Kansas; three brothers John Quinn of Kansas City, Kansas, David Quinn(Johnny) of Lee Summit, Missouri and Gary Quinn(Rochelle) of Kansas City, Kansas; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of family and many friends. Funeral Service held, Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025 at the House of Prayer Evangelist Church 2490 N. 17th St (17th and Quiendro), Kansas City, Kansas.
