Obituary for Eloise Mallett

Eloise Mallett was born February 6, 1938 in Rio, Arkansas. Eloise was from the union of the le Joe Nhan Johnson and Vernestine Johnson. Eloise had nine siblings; Joe Lee Johnson, John H. Johnson, Dr. Louise Tyler Tisdale & (Pastor R.L. Tisdale), Earnestine P. Anderson & (Pastor Cranston Anderson), Eddie Hasan & (Cristal) Johnson, Betty J. LaMarr, Forrest James Johnson and Beverly Williams. Eloise was preceded in deh by Joe Lee, John, Forrest, and Beverly. Eloise’s religious and spiritual life began an early age. She was baptized New Morning Star Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas when she was twelve. Eloise remained active in the church throughout her life. She served as an Eastern Star, in the choir, on the Usher Board, cooked, and prepared meals for the church. Eloise tended Coleman High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Eloise was united in marriage to Earl Mallett in 1970. The union formed a tightly knit blended family. Earl preceded Eloise in deh. She was also preceded by sons Perry Wright, Emerson Pleasant and daughter Mary Crudup. Eloise maintained employment various dry cleaner establishments during her early adult years. Earl and Eloise were subsequently able to purchase their own dry-cleaning business, “The Pride of Paris.” The family business was Eloise’s pride and joy. Eloise loved cleaning and maintaining her customer’s clothes. She socialized, laughed, witnessed to, and even cooked for her customers. Eloise was self-employed for over 20 years. Eloise had a passion for life. She stayed on the go. Eloise married Randolph Roquemore in 2012. Eloise leaves us all a treasure of memories. She leaves behind: Husband Randolph Roquemore; Daughters: Janice Wright, Zondra Anderson, M. Lorraine Lewey, Donna Jones (Harold Jones), Belinda Pleasant, Gloria Jean, Arlean Hubert (Bruce), Shirley Hensley, adopted daughter Johnnie Criswell, 25 grandchildren, 15 gre grand-children, a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
