Obituary for Edith Mae Cox

Edith Mae Cox, 75 passed away peacefully on March 21, 2016  was born July 18, 1940 in Kansas City Missouri. She was preceded in deh by her fher Ed Cox Sr.; Mother Unis Woods (Ira Woods Sr.); son Michael Cox; her five Sisters all of Kansas City Irene Woods, Betty Sufferin, Debra Doss, Edwina Jackson and Lulabelle Adams of Tulsa, OK, Also two brothers Ira Woods Jr of Kansas City and TC Cox of Hugo OK. Edith received her educion in the Kansas City School District. Edith started her career with Environmental Services an early age and retired from Children Mercy Hospital 2012. Edith loved spending time wit her family and friends and listening to music. She enjoyed going to the Casino, Concerts and Playing Cards. She was known as the Queen of Spades and the life of the party. She also recently gave her life to Christ. Edith Mae Cox leaves to mourn her brothers Oliver Woods and Bernard Woods both of Kansas City her sisters Onita Greene of Stockton, CA, Sharon Cox, Velma Toups, her brothers Ed Cox, Donald Ray and Dwayne Cox all of Hugo, OK. Her children Nhel Cox of Omaha Pamela Dennis, Jackson Dennis, Russell Cox, Pricia Smith, Charmange  Cox, her Stepson AC Levy all of Kansas City Missouri. She also leaves to mourn her grandchildren Christine Wilson, Maurice Stuckey * Melody Stuckey, Nhel Cox Jr.- Tonya Barnett, Myesha Cox, Aiashia Hawkins, Jazzmine Nave, Destiny Richardson and Brianna Miller; a host of  other grandchildren, gre grandchildren, nieces, nephews cousins and extended family and friends. A special thanks to her church family ~ Maranha Baptist Church.
