Dorothy Delores Hudson

Dorothy Delores Hudson was born on April 23rd, 1938 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Troy David and Pearlie Mae Naulins. Both parents preceded Dorothy in deh when she was five years old. Odessa McCalister, Dorothy*s mernal grandmother, stepped in to raise her. Dorothy enjoyed school, especially when she was able to participe in music class. This love of music never left her heart and she often listened to Jazz and Blues records. While some kids have dogs or cs for pets, she had a pet go th she loved to play with! In her adult life, Dorothy moved to Kansas City, MO and enjoyed her job as a housekeeper for Crowne Center Hotel. She was an avid reader; it was not uncommon to see her curled up with a magazine or book. During this time she gave birth to five sons: Maurice Troy (preceded her in deh), Phillip Hudson, Dennis Hudson, Lance Hudson(LaDonna) and Charles Hudson. Around 1996, she moved to Sacramento, California. While residing there she joined Women of Wisdom, (a group th specialized in making crafts and artistic creions) and wrote a few poems for the organizion. In 2006, she moved back to Kansas City to be closer to her family. Her face would light up when she received visits from her grandchildren and gre grandchildren! She resided Victoria Arms Apartments for three years before being diagnosed with Dementia, and moving into an assisted living facility in 2009. Dorothy lost her btle against the disease on November 15th, 2017 the age of 79. She leaves to cherish her memory, her four adult sons, 18 grandchildren, 41 gre grandchildren, two gre gre grandchildren, family friend Shelia Donolaldson and a host of relives and friends.
